Girls’ Generation's 'The Best Live at Tokyo Dome' topped in Oricon

Girls’ Generation have returned to prove their popularity in Japan. This time, they have successfully topped the Oricon chart with their DVD titled ‘Girls’ Generation: the Best Live at Tokyo Dome’.


The girl band topped Oricon charts on April 2.

Girls' Generation THE BEST Album

""The Best" is the first greatest hits album by Girls' Generation and was released on July 23, 2014 in Japan. It contains all 2010–2014 singles, plus some songs from their albums Girls' Generation, Girls & Peace and Love & Peace.



On June 5, 2014 was announced that Girls' Generation was releasing their Japanese album titled The Best on July 23. An album which includes their past Japanese hits plus two bonus tracks which are the Japanese version of 'Mr. Mr.' and a new Japanese song titled 'Indestructible'. Only the Complete Limited Edition includes the songs Hoot and The Boys. The album also included music videos, interviews, and making films.

Girls' Generation The Best Live at Tokyo Dome

Even though there is a tight security in the venue and it is strictly prohibited to carry cameras in the concert venue, some brave SONEs were able to capture the performances of the Girls. Some are even reported to have kicked out of the venue but others are risking themselves just to capture and share the videos to the other SONEs who didn't make it to the much awaited concert.


Apparently, on December 28 the WOWOW released the official videos for the 'Girls' Generation 'THE BEST LIVE' at Tokyo Dome'

Girls’ Generation’s eight members held their dream solo concert at Tokyo Dome last night, December 9. 


Taeyeon and her bandmates successfully attracted 50 thousand SONEs at the emotional concert that lasted for 2.5 hours.

Divine - Song


Chain Reaction - Song

"Chain Reaction", being the second original new song on the album, was released only on the Famima Edition of The Best, with CD and a special bag, on July 23, 2014.


Later was released on the repackage of The Best 's Limited Edition on October 15, 2014 with another new song "Divine" and "Indestructible". The song was first produced for Kesha but later was sold to Girls' Generation (Wikipedia).

Divine - Official Video

"Divine" is another single included in the 'Girls' Generation The Best Album'.


Before the release of the videos, Tiffany offered her insight about the song through a Japanese media portal. She explains that the song is about the relationship and connection of the SoShis (themselves) and their fans, SONEs. Two music videos are then released with a week or two in gap.

Apparently, this is also marked as the last music video before Jessica's departure from the Group.

Before that, the song was showcased for the first time during Girls' Generation's last stop of their third Japan tour in Tokyo between July 11 - July 13, 2014 (Wikipedia).

Girls' Generation's 'The Best' Album received full support

Yes, without a doubt. SONEs and fans (probably from around the world) who came to love Girls' Generation give their support to the South Korean Girl Group's "The Best" Album that compiles the group's popularized songs and included two new singles "Indestructible" and "Chain Reaction".

SMTown recently held a pop-up store and they offer limited products and are only available in their pop-up store. Even the never before seen photos such as photocards of the idols are also sold.
