I Got A Boy Album

I Got a Boy is the fourth Korean studio album (sixth overall) by South Koreangirl group Girls' Generation. It was released on January 1, 2013, by S.M. Entertainment. 

The album, which contains recordings dating back to 2008, is the first Korean album by the whole group after a fourteen-month hiatus, a sub-unit of members Girls' Generation-TTS in April 2012 and the release of their second Japanese album, Girls & Peace. Member Seohyun explained the album strays away from the group's usual releases with the album being described as a "time machine" which explores the group's past and future (Wikipedia).

"Dancing Queen" is a Korean-language song by Girls' Generation (a remake song for "Mercy" of Duffy), released on December 21, 2012, as a pre-release single from their fourth Korean album, I Got a Boy.

The song was recorded in 2008, initially slated as the title track for the group's first Korean EP, however due to unknown reasons the song was held back. "Gee" was eventually chosen to replace the song, both as a lead single and title track (Wikipedia).

The 3rd Gaon Kpop Award (Awarding and Performance)

Congratulations to Girls' Generation (소녀시대) for winning the "Popular Music/Digital Award of January" for their song 'I Got A Boy' and Album of The Year 1st Quarter 2013.
And at the end of the show, the Girls' performed the very same song. The event was held last February 12 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena.

Performing the songs "Express 999" and "I Got A Boy", the Girls' Generation is never-a-doubt the most loved Korean girl-group, even if they are missing one member.

From the video...their movements are somewhat restricted because of the hanging stage. It's a cool idea but somewhat dangerous for the performers, though.
