Girls'Generation won at 29th Japan Gold Disc Awards

Girls’ Generation received two awards at the 29th Japan Gold Disc Awards, marking the fourth straight year Girls’ Generation has been honored by the awards show. 


Last year, Girls’ Generation’s “Girls’ Generation II ~Girls & Peace~” and “LOVE&PEACE” albums also were chosen for “Best 3 Albums of Asia” at the 28th Japan Gold Disc Awards. In 2012 and 2013, Girls’ Generation’s other releases were honored in various categories as well.

Girls’ Generation to Release DVD and Blu-ray of Tokyo Dome Concert and a Japanese Single

Girls’ Generation is set to release a DVD and Blu-ray of the group’s first concert at the Tokyo Dome, which took place last year on December 9th. Both the DVD and Blu-ray will come with a 100-page live photobook and include the following tracklist:

Holler Album

Holler is the second EP by Girls' Generation's sub-unit TTS. It was released digitally on September 16, 2014, and physically on September 18, 2014. This marked the group's first release, after being on a two-year hiatus after their debut release of Twinkle in 2012.

Twinkle is the debut EP by the Girls' Generation-TTS, composed of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. It was released digitally on April 29, 2012 and physically on May 2, 2012.

Girls' Generation THE BEST Album

""The Best" is the first greatest hits album by Girls' Generation and was released on July 23, 2014 in Japan. It contains all 2010–2014 singles, plus some songs from their albums Girls' Generation, Girls & Peace and Love & Peace.



On June 5, 2014 was announced that Girls' Generation was releasing their Japanese album titled The Best on July 23. An album which includes their past Japanese hits plus two bonus tracks which are the Japanese version of 'Mr. Mr.' and a new Japanese song titled 'Indestructible'. Only the Complete Limited Edition includes the songs Hoot and The Boys. The album also included music videos, interviews, and making films.

Mr. Mr. (EP) Album

Mr.Mr. is the fourth extended play by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. The album was released digitally on February 24, 2014 and physically on February 27, 2014. 


It's the group first musical release after being nearly 14 months away from K-pop scene. The album has six tracks which seemingly focused on creating dazzling electro- and R&B-pop with its signature sugary deliveries (Wikipedia).

Love & Peace Album

Love & Peace is the third Japanese studio album (seventh overall) by Girls' Generation.


The album was physically released in four editions, with each edition containing the same twelve songs. The four editions also feature three different album covers, with the Blu-ray limited edition and DVD limited edition sharing the same cover (Wikipedia).

Girls' Generation Tour Album

Girls' Generation Tour is the second live album by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation.


The album was recorded on July 23 and 24, 2011, at Girls' Generation's concerts in Seoul at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena on their 2011 tour, the Girls' Generation Asia Tour. On April 11, Girls’ Generation released the concert album of the “Girls' Generation Asia Tour”. The album will consist of two CDs and 34 tracks, and two songs, “Let It Rain” and “Danny Boy”, will be included as re-recorded studio versions (Wikipedia).

Best Selection Non Stop Mix Album

"Best Selection Non Stop Mix" is the first japanese DJ mix album by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation released on March 20, 2013.


On February 6, 2013 was revealed that Girls’ Generation’s official remix CD, “BEST SELECTION NON STOP MIX”, will be released on March 20th. The group’s first remix CD is headed by global DJ and producer, M-Flo’s Taku Takahashi (Wikipedia).

I Got A Boy Album

I Got a Boy is the fourth Korean studio album (sixth overall) by South Koreangirl group Girls' Generation. It was released on January 1, 2013, by S.M. Entertainment


The album, which contains recordings dating back to 2008, is the first Korean album by the whole group after a fourteen-month hiatus, a sub-unit of members Girls' Generation-TTS in April 2012 and the release of their second Japanese album, Girls & Peace. Member Seohyun explained the album strays away from the group's usual releases with the album being described as a "time machine" which explores the group's past and future (Wikipedia).

The Boys Album Photos

On September 26, 2011 the first teaser photo featuring Taeyeon was released online for the impending comeback for "The Boys", followed by Sunny and Hyoyeon on September 27, Jessica, Sooyoung and Tiffany on September 28, and Yoona, Yuri, and Seohyun on September 29. The girls all represented a fairytale theme, with Taeyeon as Snow White, Sunny as Little red Riding Hood, Hyoyeon as Thumbelina, Jessica as Elisa, Sooyoung as Rapunzel, Tiffany as The Little Mermaid, Yoona as Milady de Winter, Yuri as Karen and Seohyun as The Snow Queen (Wikipedia).
