The recent report that YoonA turned down the offer to be the female lead to KBS 2TV’s “Nodame Cantabile” is because of the preparation for this upcoming movie.
The actress will play as the main character "Ani" in the Korean-Chinese film "Goodbye Ani". Since her acting debut eight years ago, this would the first time that Im YoonA will act in a big screen so great preparation is indeed needed. Aside from that, she will also join other Chinese actors and actresses for this crossover movie.
There's still in discussion of who will be the counterpart of YoonA in "Goodbye Ani" and for such, Taiwanese actor Eddie (Yuyan) Peng, who played the male lead in the Korean/Taiwanese crossover movie, “Scent of Love”, is considered to be a candidate for the role.
The filming of "Goodbye Ani" is said to begin later this year.
